Backstory: Hiroshi was abandoned on Earth by his birth-parents, one Baltonian (His mom) and the other human (his dad). Hiro was later adopted into the Suzuishi family at the age of 1 as his birth-parents ran away to space (it was more to protect Hiro from Balto poachers) and abandoned him. Hiro lived a somewhat good life despite bullying in school and not knowing about his Balto side. He and the rest of his family always knew he was different. The pointed ears and developing markings were a dead giveaway that the kid wasn't human. Everything was fine till Hiro turned 12. That was the year everything changed for him. Hiro was in the car with his parents and two siblings, Zelda (3 at the time) and Carlo ( 15 at the time). {This event falls in the middle of the first Avengers movie} The car was caught by a bunch of rubble, the impact instantly killing Hiro's parents and crushing his legs. His siblings disappeared. Hiro survived but his legs were absolutely destroyed. Tony saved him. His siblings were searched for and Hiro was taken to the hospital immediately, it wasn't worth taking his parents as the impact had killed them immediately. Tony came to visit Hiro in the hospital once he was clear for visits. Hiro obviously was ecstatic to see Iron Man of all people come see him but the mood quickly soured as he learned the news about his parents.
" I'll take care of you until we can get you a proper new home"
Tony and Hiro had an immediate connection as Tony was quickly able to foster Hiro's fascination with technology. Tony officially became Hiro's offical guardian on his 13th birthday.

Tony built Hiro new legs at first they were relatively simple, he even showed him how he made them. That would soon change.

Hiro, like most other spiders, was bitten by a radioactive spider. It was an earlier version of what Peter was bitten with so he didn't get everything, however it did agitate his Baltonian side. Within 24hrs his ears came full length, his hair grew to it's current length, and all the markings became extremely prominent. Did he try to hide this from Tony with a hoodie? Yes, yes he did. Hiro was quick to realize his newfound electrokinesis and decided to use it to his advantage. Over a few days he threw together a badly made and quick "supersuit" and begun his work as The Static Spider.
